I am Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam a Dairy Expert and currently working as Deputy Manager of Society at Bangladesh Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Limited (Milkvita) in Bangladesh. I have both MS and PhD degree in Dairy Science from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. I am also actively works for several research projects at PKSF (palli karma Sahayak Foundation) as a consultant in Bangladesh. The main objectives of my research is included socio-economic aspects, to create employment opportunities, poverty reduction & rural development and income generation through cooperatives small dairy farming with native cows & crossbred dairy cows. |
I have more than 22 years of experience in cooperative dairying at the remote rural area of Bangladesh. My research interest covers cooperative dairy farming at the rural villages with native dairy cows and crossbred dairy cows. Climate smart dairy farming with appropriate cow breeds in Bangladesh and encouraging climate smart small entrepreneurship as a way of reducing unemployment through dairy farming and the production of dairy & meat products and marketing in the remote area of Bangladesh. I have also experience in dairy food production, value chain development & providing nutritious food at an affordable price. |
